Eowyn Alisa Glaze – Our first grand daughter and little fire cracker. I know you were not born on July 4th but you have brought wonderful fireworks into our lives.
Before we even found out that you were on your way into this world, God spoke to me. I was praying one Friday morning, spending time with my best friend, Jesus, and was pray for your daddy, mommy and Rudy. Before I was done praying, God prompted me to pray for the next child that would be coming into the family. Now I had no idea until 2 weeks later that you had already been conceived. Your mommy told me that she was 4 weeks pregnant and I had prayed 2 weeks prior. It was CRAZY! I love how God works and how he prompted me to pray for you…. I LOVE IT!
We were so excited when we learned that I was going to be a grandma again! This grandma loves her grand babies sooooo much!
You were such a good baby and so beautiful too! Rudy was nervous when he first met you, but then became a great fan of yours and you two loved being together.
I was unable to keep you all night until you no longer nursed. You liked being with mommy at night. One night when you were about 18 or 19 months old I tried to keep you all night. But you wouldn’t have it. The bottle was not satisfying you and you cried and cried. I could not calm you down, so I put you in the car to see if that would help, however, I started driving toward your home in Daleville and you cried the entire way home. I felt so sorry for you. I had to wake up your mommy and she came runny out to get you and as soon as she took you in her arms you stopped crying. Eventually you loved staying all night with me. lol
As you got older, I loved the fact that you were always singing. I MEAN ALWAYS SINGING! It reminded me of when I was 4 yrs old too. I have always loved singing. There is another post on here that talks about when you were watching me worship at church with my eyes closed. You looked at me and then you closed your eyes. It was so precious. But one day when I was praying for you I felt God showed me that you were going to worship him in song. Worship is a weapon and satan hates it when we worship Jesus. So I was like YES! So I continue to pray that God will raise up in you a song of worship for Him. That you will use your gift to praise Jesus.
You and I were getting ready to go to a play the the civic theater and we were parked along side of the road waiting to go in and you mentioned a song you like to sing.. called 10,000 reasons. So we played it and we sung our hearts out right there in the car. lol
Then when you were a little older yet your church allowed you and I think another little girl to sing and lead worship with your worship team and you were just 9 yrs old. I thought that was so awesome.
I pray that you continue to worship Jesus with a sincere heart, giving him praise and all the glory for what he is doing in your life.
There were times you would find a journal that I was writing in and I ALWAYS mentioned that it is important to DATE EVERYTHING! I shared many stories with you as to how the dates are so important. So you loved to journal and once in a while you would tell me you dated it or show me that you datd a note or something. I pray that you continue to remember just how important dates are and also the importance of journaling.
Eowyn, I see so many things in you that remind me of me! But out of all of our similarities I pray that you love Jesus as much as I do… that you desire to hear his voice and that when you worship you realize just who you are worshiping. God desires us to worship him… the angels cry out Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God ALMIGHTY, who was and is and is to come.
